Go Skateboarding Day 2010 Poster
Still representing, this year’s GO SKATEBOARDING DAY poster was designed by long time skater Shepard Fairey. Giving props to his skating routes this is what he had to say…
“Skateboarding changed my life. When I was a teenager, I needed a creative, physical outlet that didn’t require me to join a team, and skateboarding was just that. I enjoyed the aggression and stress relief it provided, as well as the creative progression it allowed me to make. The culture of skateboarding also inspired me to make stencils and homemade t-shirts, activities that led to the career I have today. I owe so much to skateboarding for its influence on me, so it’s a pleasure to try to inspire others to skate.”

i have never been to go skate day and i have tell my parents if i can take a trip to Florida this year with a friend and skate as much as we can on the most popular holiday in the U.S.

Yes! Go skateboard and have fun! Wether you skateboard on the streets or in the skatepark, enjoy the fun and impress your skatefriends with new tricks you invented. Yoú 're never too old to skateboard and you are never too young to start either. Skating is very peaceful and environmentally friendly way of going from A to B. Enjoy!

i think this poster is awesome, and im a begginner but i am already so wrapped up in the sport. im either trying to skate, at the skate park with my skate friends who are teaching me and picking up tips from them, or watching skate movies on bunchvideo! ive become obsessed and ive only been skating for 3 weeks. its amazing! its a thrill!

It depends on your city. If you live in a small town I don't expect the holiday to be a huge thing for you, but I live in Chicago and in my group alone there was about 200 or so skaters. If your city or town doesn't have a Go Skate Day, you should go to the park and get some guys together and go out and have fun. Remember that skating is supposed to be fun, and everyday for us is Go Skate Day.

Dude I love go skateboarding day as a skater who lives in snyder Oklahoma there isn't any type of skateboarding comps any where around here it's not right we need a skate park here
I love the poster and the message. I'm a mom from a small town and our city just built a skate park, opening day is June 21st. I have 4 boys who love skateboarding. We happen to live right next door to it and have decided to open a skate shop to support the city. I can't wait to be part of the fun event. Thanks for your site
